AFTER NOV 16TH AT THE CAPITOL
I truly hope you had a very warm and happy Thanksgiving day, for those of us whose tables were half empty I wish you peace and hope, hope in your heart that the pain will be over soon.
I’m very thankful to God everyday, but also specially for Nov 16th at the Capitol, for the people that were able to make it and also for those who were not able to make it , we felt your presence and your strength, we felt your prayers. The bill was very well received by many Legislators and we placed the seed in many people in the Capitol, now, we have to make sure we take care of that seed to grow and the only way we are going to do that is by letting our elected officials know what we need them to do for our children, it’s very simple, make the appointment with your Senator and Representative, print the pages from www.illinoisfathers.org , talk with them and leave the printed information, and tell someone else to do it also, get back to us and let us know how was your meeting.
Passing a Law is not an easy task . but not impossible, the ball is in your court, we are hoping around January to have a Bill number , we are working diligently, but as I mentioned a while back, there needs to be more than a President and a Board sending emails, calling, writing , we have many mothers, grandmothers, sisters, friends that have also being separated from their children . not just fathers, this bill will protect the child of being separated from a falsely accused parent, everyone needs to be involved one way or another, everyone!, more news soon.
